
Dr. Jacob D. Perkins is a practicing chiropractor working mainly in the field of sports medicine, soft tissue injuries, functional rehabilitation and performance. Dr. Perkins has a passion for learning and professional excellence and as such is dedicated to learning the latest evidence based techniques to help patients quickly and effectively recover from injuries. This expertise provides Dr. Perkins with the ability to educate patients and empower them to participate in the recovery process for more successful outcomes.
Dr. Perkins is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He was active in leading multiple clubs and sports programs directed at evidence based approaches and patient centered care. During his last year of his Doctoral degree Dr. Perkins had the privilege to work with and interned under Dr. Dave Juehring, DC, DACRB, a member of the 1994 and 1998 US Olympic Bobsled teams and a coach and team leader for the U.S. Olympic Bobsled team in the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT. After graduating Dr. Perkins and his family moved to Washington to practice and be back home in the NW.
Dr. Perkins is comfortable working with all types of patients and athletes. Dr. Perkins has successfully worked with Professional, Olympic, Collegiate and other athletes at a variety of levels throughout his career and schooling. As a former athlete himself, Dr. Perkins understands the needs for training at a high level and quality care.
Throughout the year Dr. Perkins and staff will be found volunteering their time at local races and events to give back to the community and support athletes at local triathlons, running, biking and other sporting competitions / events.
Dr. Perkins has a passion for sports and is an avid runner, and general outdoor enthusiast. When he is not recovering from a few basketball injuries, Dr. Perkins loves triathlon and running races too. Above all he loves and enjoys spending time with his wife Annalisa and their five kids!
